【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversbrickintendedforusein(1)drainagestructuresfortheconveyanceofsewage,industrialwastes,andstormwater,and(2)relatedstructuressuchasmanholesandcatchbasins.1.2Thepropertyrequirementsofthisstandardapplyatthetimeofpurchase.Theuseofresultsfromtestingofbrickextractedfrommasonrystructuresfordeterminingconformanceornon-conformancetothepropertyrequirements(Section4)ofthisstandardisbeyondthescopeofthisstandard.1.3Brickcoveredbythisstandardaremanufacturedfromclay,shale,orsimilarnaturallyoccurringsubstancesandsubjectedtoaheattreatmentatelevatedtemperatures(firing).Theheattreatmentmustdevelopsufficientfiredbondbetweentheparticulateconstituentstoprovidethestrengthanddurabilityrequirementsofthisspecification.(SeefiringandfiredbondinTerminologyC1232.)1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.
