【摘要】:1.1Thisclassificationsystem178;providesameansforspecifyingordescribingpertinentpropertiesofcommercialnonmetallicgasketmaterials.Materialscomposedofasbestos,cork,cellulose,andotherorganicorinorganicmaterialsincombinationwithvariousbindersorimpregnantsareincluded.Materialsnormallyclassifiedasrubbercompoundsarenotincluded,sincetheyarecoveredinClassificationD2000.Gasketcoatingsarenotcovered,sincedetailsthereofareintendedtobegivenonengineeringdrawingsorinseparatespecifications.Whilethefacingmaterialsforlaminatecompositegasketmaterials(LCGM)areincludedinClassificationSystemF104,materialsnormallyclassifiedasLCGMarenotcoveredsincetheyareincludedinClassificationF868.1.2Sinceallofthepropertiesthatcontributetogasketperformancearenotincluded,useoftheclassificationsystemasabasisforselectingmaterialsislimited.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
