【摘要】:Thispracticecoversthehandling,testing,andprocedureforusingalithiumfluoride(LiF)-basedphoto-fluorescentfilmdosimetrysystemtomeasureabsorbeddose(relativetowater)inmaterialsirradiatedbyphotonsorelectrons.Otheralkalihalidesthatmayalsoexhibitphotofluorescence(forexample,NaCl,NaF,andKCl)arenotcoveredinthispractice.Althoughvariousalkalihalideshavebeenusedfordosimetryforyearsutilizingthermoluminescence,theuseofphotoluminescenceisrelativelynew.Thispracticeappliestophoto-fluorescentfilmdosimeters(referredhereafterasphoto-fluorescentdosimeters)thatcanbeusedwithinpartorallofthefollowingranges:Absorbeddoserangeof510to310kGy(1-3).Absorbeddoseraterangeof0.3to210Gy/s(2-5)).Radiationenergyrangeforphotonsof0.05to10MeV(2).Radiationenergyrangeforelectronsof0.1to10MeV(2).Radiationtemperaturerangeof-20to+60?C(6,7).Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
